فعالیت های آنتی اکسیدانی و سیتوتوکسیک یک مولکول ایزومر جدید PF5 به دست آمده از عصاره متانولی قارچ Pleurotus Florida

The Pleurotus florida is recognized as a medicinal and edible mushroom and the present study intends to reveal the active isomeric molecules from this mushroom. The P. florida was cultivated using different nutrient supplements: groundnut husk, maize powder, horse gram powder and coconut oil-cake powder. Horse gram supplement showed the higher mushroom yield and hen ceit was used for the cultivation of P. florida. Methanolic extract of P. florida was found to be efficient in antioxidant activity among ethanol, aqueous, ethyl acetate and hexane extracts. The bioactive fraction 3-methoxy-4-hydroxy cinnamic acid (PF5) was isolated and purified from the methanolic extract of P. florida by column chromatography, thin layer chromatography (TLC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrum (GC-MS) and further it was characterized by Nuclear mag netic resonance (NMR). The PF5 was tested for its DPPH and reducing power assays, and the IC50 values were found to be 21.7 ug/mL and 105 ug/mL, respectively.

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is mainly transmitted by airborne droplets generated by infected individuals. Since this and many other pathogens are able to remain viable on inert sur faces for extended periods of time, contaminated suufaces play an important role in SARS-CoV-2 fomite trans mission. Cosmetic products are destined to be applied on infection-sensitive sites, such as the lips and eyelids. Therefore, special biosafety precautions should be incorporated into the routine procedures of beauty parlors and shops.

Coronavirus pneumonia is accompanied by rapid virus replication, where a large number of inflammatory cell in filtration and cytokine storm may lead to acute lung injury, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and death. The uncontrolled release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin (IL)-13 and IL-6, is associ ated with ARDS. This constituted the first study to report on the variability in physicochemical properties of ß glucans extracts from the same edible mushroom Lentinus edodes on the reduction of these pro-inflammatory cy tokines and oxidative stress. Specifically, the impact on the immunomodulatory and cytoprotective properties of our novel in 'house' (IH-Lentinan, IHL) and a commercial (Carbosynth-Lentinan, CL) Lentinan extract were inves tigated using in vitro models of lung injury and macrophage phagocytosis. CL comprised higher amounts of a glucans and correspondingly less B-glucans.
